GRAMMY NOMINATIONS
David Lee and
co-writer Tony Lane
were nominated for a
Grammy February 10,
2008. "I Need
You" was up for Song
of the Year and
Vocal Collaboration.
Montgomery Gentry
was up for "Vocal
Group or Duo", with "Lucky Man"
(co-writer Dave
Turnbull) helping
them reach this
prestigious
nomination.
David also has
a song penned on Tim McGraws
album "Let It Go"
and George Straits
"It Just Comes
Natural" both of
which are up for
"Album of the Year".
LUCKY MAN
David recently
celebrated a #1 song
"Lucky Man" recorded
by Montgomery
Gentry. In the
packed BMI lobby in
Nashville, TN David,
his co-writer Dave
Turnbull and the
Montgomery Gentry
boys were honored
with plaques to
signify the success
of the song. David
was presented a
brand new Takamine
#1 guitar, numerous
plaques and was
touted as one of
Nashville's hottest
new songwriters by
BMI's Jody Williams.
I NEED YOU
Tim McGraw and Faith
Hill took David's
song "I Need You"
into the Billboard
top ten.
The song was also
featured on the
Oprah Winfrey Show
and the Tim McGraw,
NBC Special. Tim and
Faith recorded an
emotional video in
the former home of
country music legend
Hank Williams Sr.
Consequently the
lines in the song "I
want to ride through
West Virginia in the
back seat of a
Cadillac, you know
some cowboys like me
go out like that",
are a direct
reference to the
death of Hank
Williams Sr.

Trace Adkins
released "I Wanna
Feel Somethin'" in
June and put out a
powerful video
shortly thereafter.
The video went to #1
